I wouldnt think so, nah not really. I never got excited about Miami winning the Big East. Never been excited about UofA winning the Pac 10 in hoops or the Giants winning the NL west or the Bears winning the NFC North. Nothing all that special about it really. </div></div>

Most of the time that's one of the steps to the next level though.

Genius, it's not that they've never won a national title in football it's that they have never won a national title in any sport. VT has never won a basketball game in College Park either, your point is? VT and Maryland are equal in basketball terms over the last 3-4 years in what anybody with any sense could see is the best 4 years VT has had in the last 25 and the worst Maryland has had since the Bob Wade era. I'm more than happy to sit here all night and continue to show you terrible VT athletics are, wanna talk about Lax? VT doesn't field a team, how about soccer where Maryland and Wake Forest have won national titles since the great VT joined the ACC (since thats all you care about) or Basketball where UNC has won it all in 05. Care to discuss an athletic program and not just one sport which has been somewhat good for the last 8-9 seasons?

The next level is what you get excited about though. Its no fun to win a conference/division title then go lose the last game. The worthwhile feeling is gone. I know Braves fans know exactly what Im talking about.

Winning a National Title is the ultimate goal for any team, until you do that it doesn't matter how many ACC titles you win. You want to win the big one and if your content with just ACC titles you are crazy.

In 20 years, who will know who won the ACC title, nobody, but if you win the national title they will remember.

They don't even have that many ACC Titles, get him to compare their ACC Titles to other schools over the last 3-4 years. They've got two in football and a split in golf. I have heard they have a good Women's Track Program think they might have a couple in that. Overall I'd wager in all sports they at most have 10 in three years.

I don't understand how ANY VT fan can talk trash about anyone else. Scheduling Ohio and W&M is bad enough...and then to credit a Kansas team as a GOOD team when they didn't even make the Big 12 Championship game....c'mon..that's ridiculous. Including VT, KU didn't beat anyone worth a damn.
